The Admission Process
Exploring The Beech Hill School is often the first time a family considers an admission process. In the most simple terms, admissions is the process of determining if BHS can provide the best academic and social environment for your child. Every component of the process helps both the family and the school reflect upon the student's strengths and needs and how BHS can best serve the student.
At The Beech Hill School, our process begins with a conversation to assess if BHS might be the right fit for their child. Please contact our admissions associate, Keri Brand, via email or at (603) 715-5129, to set up a Parent Tour. During the tour, you will learn about the school's philosophy and schedule and see the school in action.
Following the Parent Tour, a Student Shadow Day will be coordinated. This day is an opportunity for the prospective student to shadow a current student, getting a glimpse into what a day at BHS is like. They also have the chance to meet current students and faculty.
Next, the family will receive login credentials to begin the Online Application process. Our admission associate, Keri Brand, will walk you through completing the process and keep you updated as parts of the application are completed. Do not hesitate to contact Mrs. Brand at any time - before, during, or after the admission process.
If you intend to apply for financial aid, please click here for specific information on how to apply for aid.
Only applicants who have completed the required paperwork, including financial aid, will be considered for admission. The Beech Hill School reviews completed applications twice a month, beginning February 1st.
The admission committee considers the following factors in their decisions:
- Academic achievement (as demonstrated through transcripts from the previous two academic years)
- Teacher Recommendations (mathematics & language arts)
- Extracurricular Interests or Commitments
- Standardized Test Results, if available
- Parent and Student Essays
- Student Shadow Day
- Student Interview
Every family and every student is unique. While there are standard forms to complete, the process is unique for each student. Often, applying to Beech Hill is one of the first major life processes and decisions a student has experienced alongside their parents. We strive to make applying to BHS a positive experience for all involved.
As always, do not hesitate to contact Mrs. Keri Brand or at 603-715-5129 if you have any questions or would like more information.
