Electives

Our elective program is created to provide students with an opportunity to experience a topic outside the traditional curriculum.  The electives offered are chosen for a variety of reasons.  Maybe students have an interest in a particular topic.  Maybe a recent current event has motivated offering an certain elective.  Possibly students need to experience a completely different way of thinking or writing or communicating.  And maybe students need to test their abilities and try something beyond their comfort zone.

Electives are meant to broaden students' horizons, stretch their abilities and thinking, and help them identify their interests and strengths.  Students will be assessed, not on mastery of a topic, but on their growth, self-assessment, motivation, and contribution to the class.

Electives will be offered for a term.
